Cycling at East Coast

So here we are receiving the great second half of 2012. And I must say, time really flies! Cliche but it's absolutely true how fast time can pass, especially when you are feeling happy and enjoying every moment. That's not all, I think June also ended with a bang for our family where we received many good news and *ahem* ker-ching. haha

July, if you are listening here, I want you to be more fantastic than ever and bring me more happy moments that I'll never forget yeah!

Back to the topic, our family went cycling at East Coast Park yesterday and the weather was amazingly perfect! We went after a short rain and you can imagine how breezy the rest of the afternoon was. There was no sign of the scorching sun that appeared the past few weeks. Des and mum were both particularly interested in trying the family bike which worked basically like a tricycle but made up of two bicycles that can sit three adults and two children at the front. They were afraid that it might rain so they opted for the sheltered ride. But oh man, cycling the ride was a torture!

Firstly, it costs $30/hr and it moves sooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow. I think it is supposed to be a relaxing ride for the family where they can sit back and admire the beautiful park but the huge vehicle blocks the entire bicycle lane and you can't possibly take your own sweet time right? And it was hard peddling especially up the slope and moving off from stationary. Nonetheless, I think Lucas really enjoyed the most out of us as he is in this phase where he likes steering wheel. During the whole journey, he was smiling, steering, waving goodbye at us, steering and laughing. The dummy steering wheel really gave him lots of joy! HAHAHA...

So here are some pictures taken during yesterday.

Mum secretly enjoyed the ride cos she didn't have to peddle much.

We then ended the day with dinner at the Lagoon and shopped around at Parkway! A simple yet fun day!
