That bloody dog!

It's been bothering me for many days and I have countless sleepless nights due to this. Whose the cause of all these problems? It's none other that a bloody dog! Well it all started like this...

For the past 1 or 2 weeks (or maybe even longer, since I couldn't remember), my mum's and my sleep have been disturbed by this dog who will start barking as early as 6 am everyday. Since we are sleeping in the master bedroom which has an open window where the sound comes from, we find it really hard to sleep after hearing that. We tried closing the window, but the muffled sound can still be heard. Best part of it? The barking comes as a rhythm. "Woof Woof, Woof Woof, Woof Woof, Woof Woof, Woof Woof!" Ten "woofs" before the dog stopped for a break or a grasp of air before the whole thing starts again.

So for the past few nights before we slept, my mum and I had beeen discussing about this problem. We were thinking what causes the dog to start barking non-stop, and who is the culprit.

Suggestion 1 (Me): A stray dog who stays at the construction compound at the back of our house. Since that is where the sound comes from.

Contradiction (Mum): Stray dog does not bark. They are too smart to bark.

Suggestion 2 (Mum): directly translated from what she said "Must be that Bui Char Boh from storey 7! Her dog like cannot control one! Must be she left for work early in the morning and the dog Ki Siao kana locked and barked non-stop!"

Since what she said makes more sense, we came to this conclusion that it must be that fat ugly jack russell from storey 7. There was once when I took the lift with the aunty and her dog. The minute the door closed, the dog went into a panic spasm, frantically whimpered and hit it's body against the lift door! It was definitely a traumatized moment for me because that whimpering was too much and honestly, I have only heard of human having a phobia of taking lift but not a dog! The aunty even apologised to us, whose sharing the lift, giggling,"我的狗害怕坐电梯."

Anyway, while I am typing this, I have to endure the barking coming from that dog since 6am and now, it's already 11.30am!

Time to blog abt something

Call me lazy, call me busy... whatever it is, i have been pretty reluctant to blog nowadays. Firstly, I have nothing much to talk about. School has been hectic (only for the four days cos I have 4-days week) but other than that, it's still quite enjoyable. Though i used to think that travelling for 1 and a half hour can be pretty long, it's no longer nowadays cos i have a personal chauffeur (hehe) who sometimes fetches me home.

Honestly speaking, my house is still not very far from boon lay. but i always like to leave the house two hours in advance so that i would not have to hurry like a mad man!

Good news! Being a civil servant has its advantages! Just when i worry about the amount of money I have to spend on my course materials such as textbooks and stuff, I found out that i can actually claim them as i was given 400 bucks per annum for learning and development! i am so thankful... how i wish all education can be like that, students dun have to worry about money and put their heart into studying well. For me, i can even loan a notebook from school as long as i pay for the insurance! even better ya?!!!!

Another piece of good news, i am going overseas this dec!!!!! Finally! i have told myself that after started working, i am going to save and ensure that i get to travel to somewhere far once a year. The beginning of this year i did went to batam but that's not far! Initially my plan was to go taiwan to celebrate my birthday. But sad to say, most of the attractions are affected by the typhoon this august. i have to put taht on hold first.

So, as a result, i will be going CHINA with bro, mum and des! CHINA? u must be thinking of the "ulu-ness" of the country. Yup, i am going to shanghai and other parts which are more modern yet not forgeting the beautiful sceneries that await me! CAn't wait!!!!! It's going to be winter! can spend my early christmas there and shop like crazy! (Shanghai has alot of modern stuff to buy ok!)

Now, my mission is none other than SAVING! If you realise, i stop sharing with you on new purchases for quite a long period! Cos, i am SAVING UP for a wonderful DECEMBER!!!!!

School starting tmr!

Was looking forward to school. You know, back to the daily routine of rushing for lectures and preparing tutorials.. Yes, it's much better than working when you come to think of it at times. you feel like you have no more burden. Just study and enjoy school life. What's better than having your school fee sponsored and getting monthly allowance! Yes, i am happy though deterred by the long travelling time. School's pretty far, nope, it's super far! Nevermind, 2 years will pass quickly!

National Day!

Yeah! National Day is coming! No idea when I become so patriotic!

Anyway, I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to tune in to our local radio. Hoping to find some sleepless souls for company, I came upon yes 933 fm whose DJ, Zhou Chong Qing (ok my sis is going to say he's my fav idol again) was hosting his programme. Oh man, all the jokes he cracked were hilarious and extremely 3 8!

There was a auntie who called in for a song dedication and she blabbered non stop about how her daughter's birthday happens to fall on the same date as CQ's. She continued to tell him that the daughter is so similar to him, both are cheerful and optimistic! In order to change topic to avoid awkwardess, CQ asked her if her daughter likes sunflower. Sunflower means bright and cheerful. The auntie answered by saying that she was not too sure about that, she only knew that her daughter loves all flowers.

So our dear CQ, being ever so 3 8 and hilarious, jokingly asked her if she knew what other kind kind of flower he likes.

Auntie: Erm, dunno lei. Auntie

CQ: dunno if u heard of this flower, i like .

Auntie: Orh, money plant huh!

CQ: No lah, as long as I got money to spend lah!

Auntie (followed by a train of giggles): You ah, very bad lei, auntie also want to disturb!

SUPER 38 but super funny! you should have heard it on air yourself.

anyway, found this video where CQ came up with his chinese version of an old national day theme song "There's no place I rather be". Pretty funny cos he laughed at his own misfortune.

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY EVERYONE!

SCHOOL

One word to describe my new school- FAR!

MILE HI CLUB

Recently, I was preoccupied with this book that my sis passed to me. It's called "The Mile Hi Club" written by Janet Chew who used to be an air-stewardess. I have never been really engrossed in reading any book lately due to the hectic schedule and you know, the lack of patience and determination in finishing a book the minute I realised how long I took to finish even one chapter of it. Thus, I have a couple of incomplete stories laying in my cupboard, wishing that one day, I can just lent them a listening ear or rather "eye". Hahas.

Once I got hold of the book, I just went straight into action. Who cares about playing my PC game now? That can wait. Nothing can stop me and my book. This book is simply irresistable because it is a memoir of a stewardess and it basically shares anything a girl want to know about the flying job. Some of you may know that I once had thoughts about joining our local airline industry hoping to become a Singapore girl. But lucky me, I decide to choose teaching after having second thoughts about being constantly away from my family. I am too homely for this job!

Despite all that, I must say I still have that huge curiousity of what it's like being a stewardess. What kind of lifestyle is they leading? How much they earn? What is it like to work with so many beautiful people? Are they all materialistic? The most curious question is: Is it true that some hotels are haunted?

Well, this book answers all! Best of all, this book is too informative. The author even shares with readers on scandalous sex that took place 35000feets up there! HAHAHAHAHHA...

Oh and do you know what happen when a person die on flight? Where do they store the body before landing? You got to read it!

So don't hesitate! I truly enjoy reading every page and story and you will too!

I sound like a saleman but I feel that this is an enjoyable read and I finished the book in less than 3 days!
