CNY 2010

I'm watching Happy Feet as I upload my long overdue CNY pics...
So slow and the layout is completely different with each time you upload a new round of pics.
While I wait, let's talk about Happy Feet! I love this movie so much cos the baby penguins are so cute! The best part is they really talk like baby. Oh, and their soundtrack was one of the best I have heard from animation.

The story is about how this little penguin called Mambo who cannot sing like all other penguins. And he is deemed as an outcast. The prob is, though he can't express the song in his heart through singing, he can dance really well. From there, he slowly showed the others how dancing can also be acceptable. Thus, the movie is called Happy Feet.

No permission from got god of fortune

Haha... Going to share smth funny. Yest, I went with mum to the paya lebar韭菜诚皇庙, then she asked me to go pray to the GOd of fortune for permission to get a lucky number from him to buy 4d. So I asked keenly and sincerely the first time saying, "GOF, I have nv struck 4d and toto before or any kind of windfall, I want to ask for more money so I can bring my mum oversea for holiday N put it to good use, can you give me a number?" The Answer is a
笑杯! So mum said I must try 3 times, so the
second time I changed my question, "you dun wan me to have sudden windfall huh, u want me to get a steady job and saved?" the answer is still a 笑杯! So I still couldn't believe it, I asked the final time, "are you sure? Very very sure?" guess what the answer is? Still a 笑杯! Hahaha
mayb a god of fortune do exist afterall...

5 things I like about CNY

Hi all,

This shall be the last post before Chinese New Year. So, I will share with you ten things I like about CNY.

In case you don't know, I love CNY! It is my fav holiday!

5 things I like about CNY:

  1. AngBaos!!! I love collecting angbaos but not becos of the money but simply because I love to see the various angbao designs. They are so lovely can! I have hundreds of different kinds of angbaos in my cupboard and mayeb one day I will share with you.

  2. Food. Well, there are some food which my mum will only cook once in a long while and one of them is raddish cake. Her raddish cake is delicious and because of the work involved, she rarely makes it and even if she does, my bro will finish it fast.

  3. Gambling. The poker, ban luck and chor dai di are not easy to resist. Who cares about losing, as long as you have kakis and the atmosphere is so right.

  4. Dressing up: This year, I have lots of dresses and shoes to wear. 2 flats, one super cute and comfy platform heels. Oh, and I can paint my nail ultra red!

  5. Flowers and red decoration: Mum will definitely decorate the house. She will buy lots of red decorations and stick all over the wall. She will hang fake chili and vege harvests to signify abundance of food. There will also be lots of colourful flowers on both sides of the corridor.

Hereby, I shall wish all of you all the best in your new year, less worry, more happy things to celebrate and enjoy this holiday! Huat ah!

Relief

I am not going to talk about my assignments. With CNY approaching, lots and lots of good news are coming their way. The biggest news will have to be that of my Sis. If you follow me on twitter or facebook, you would have found out by now.

Yes, she's finally expecting!

Definitely something that she has been looking forward to and as her younger Sis, I have heard enough of her worries and grumbling on hoe people get pregnant easily yet she has to be disappointed over and over again. It's not that getting pregnant is "mission impossible" for her, but with what she heard from her gynae, she did get paranoid. Mum and I had to constantly reassure her thAt the time is not right and she shouldn't think so much.

Surprisely, we were right. Seems like her desperation is nt helping her. This news completely cAught by surprise. The least she wants it, the more god gives her. So, a baby coming her/his way, though I have a gut feeling that it's a girl. She's happy and my prayer was answered (i always pray to dad, asking for the wishes of my family to be answered).

Melvin, dad-To-be, starts to get paranoid over Sis and mum, though not admiting, was kind of excited abt being a young Chio ah ma! The mummy-to-be starts experiencing the change and discomfort in her body, well at least now she nv keep complaining. Bro, who's going to be an ah Gu, don't seem to look any different but I guess he must be damn nervous cos he can no longer be naughty if not he won't set a good example. Now what about me? I am just grateful that things r turning out good and finally someone will call me "ah Yi"! Haha. Best of all, my. Sis can no longer fit into the clothes she just bought which means they wil be mine! Wahahahahaha!

PS: my uncles are so happy that they r going to be promoted to granduncle at such young age! Haha

have a gr8 weekend and sending from my iPhone,
Sally
