Hong Kong/ Macau Jan 2012 (Day 4)

After spending the previous day shopping, we decided to do something else for a change and that is to visit a theme park! Ocean Park was our first choice because we have all been to Disneyland and wanted to see for ourselves what was so special about Ocean Park.

The day was cold as usual. In fact, it was colder than the previous day probably because Ocean Park was situated on top of a hill and along the coastline where the wind was particularly stronger.

Took the train to Admiralty Station where we then queued for Bus 629 which will take us to Ocean Park. I did not have any difficulty getting to the bus terminal because there were signs directing us from the station.

The place is colourful!

Aiyo the pictures reminded me of how cold it was when we reached. Was totally unprepared for the wind and I wore just a thin pair of leggings under my tunic dress. My ass was frozen lor.

At the panda section

Went to have breakfast at an eatery...

The place is panda-themed.

Char siew baos

Panda custard buns

Whoever up there must have regretted...

Took a tram up to explore the other half of OP where most of the thrilling rides can be found

Went on this

Hurrying to the next venue to catch the 11.30am perfomance

There we were...

Superrrr colddddddd

Feel bad for these two performers because they had to get into the water...

wow a dolphin!

The less thrilling rides

Then we went to the jelly fish aquarium...

Huge jellyfishes

Did you know that jellyfishes have no brains but yet their cells can work together to perform multiple functions.

Sea monsters!

We went for ferris wheel ride and regretted once we were up!

Fake smile

Since none of us had the guts to take those thrilling rides, we decided to head back to the kiddie section by cable car
How can we miss out the carousel?

Pretty flowers...

Time to see pandas!
Hello Lazy!

What a weird position the panda was in... like sitting on a rock and resting the head and arms on a table.

Red panda

All kinds of goldfish

these are cute...

We were too tired from climbing up the numerous slopes in OP. I guess OP is definitely not suitable for old people. But my mum still made it!

Saw a couple had their caricatures drawn and mum suggested that des and I should try out. The result? What he drawn does not even look like me.

I think des was pleased with his.

The day ended with us having dinner near our hotel and doing some shopping Bonjour and Sasa stores.

Claypot vege again...

This is not too bad...

Stay tuned for Day 5!
