Birthday and many more!!!

Ok, I have so much to blog about, my birthday party, my actual birthday and the things that I have been busy with since the day my exam ended.... Oh my, the list goes on.... But no worries, I have dedicated one full day to blog about them.. So it will come as many different posts...

1 My Birthday Party (should have blogged about it long ago)

For those of you who know me, you should have already known that I actually wanted to organize a theme party for my birthday. You know, with a lot of animal preensss (haha). But due to tight budget and lack of time, I decided on a very last-minute bbq party, as suggested by my sis. So, I went to book a larger BBQ pit at East Coast, hoping for some bbqing action. Then, the stupid rainy season came early and drowned all my excitement. I knew the BBQ will not be able to take place and furthermore, my sis was renovating her house’s toilets so my mum will definitely be very busy, rushing here and there that she would have no time to help me prepare the food.

Since, I was left with not many choices and I have already invited my relatives, the only option was to hold a buffet at my sis house! You have no idea how rush we were. The past 4 days before my party, I had to follow my mum to my sis’s house and help oversee the entire renovation. The worst thing would have to be the night before my party. The renovation was delayed and ended quite late in the afternoon. We had so much t0o pack and clean, since the cement dust was all over her house (dining room, kitchen, living room, all rooms etc). It was so dusty that all the furniture was coated with a layer of dust. Sway sway, I was caught with a bad flu and my bones were aching, nose was dripping like a tap and eyes all teary. But, we still have to finish cleaning the house. Poor me, you would say. I am all used to this sudden attack by sickness before my birthday because it happens EVERY YEAR! It’s true, every birthday since I was young, I will celebrate with flu, giddiness or whatsoever… Maybe like what my dad would say, “Your birthday should not be celebrated! It is the day where you put your mum through so much danger and pain giving birth to you.” I simply agreed.

YES THAT‘S ME! THE BIRTHDAY FAT GIRL! HAHA ok, I am too harsh on myself but I think you can see I look kind of awful! Eyes all droppy and nose all red and I look so fat! To KT: Itold you I put on weight and you don't believe me! The time at Chingwei's party, my weight was 52kg and that was like a 4kg gain from the time when I am still teaching (the kids tortured me mentally and physically! haha). I guess school life is fulfilling in a way that it really fill my stomach!!! haha, ate so many bread and I'm loaded. Ok, but now I am bad to a safe 50kg! My uncles still comment that I am fat. humphs...

Oh well, Joan was the only one who can come to my party... sobs... all you people were having your exam! lucky she came, my relatives thought that I am a loner, with no friends haha...



I would say my party was kind of boring. The adults were chatting while we "children" were watching a taiwanese gameshow. Not much of an interaction and I feel so sleepy and sick. But the highlight of the day would definitely had to be the cake I bought for my dearest Bro, Jackson Wong a.k.a Finance Tay Ping Hui or Mr Yandao.

PS: In case you're wondering, my brother and my birthday falls on the same day. It's that coincidental and we are 7 years apart!

Careless Me!

Exam's finally over! I have been looking forward to this day where studies and projects will all be ot of my head. So, what's simply left for me is my birthday and the trip to Shanghai!!!!! WOOOHOOO!

Well, my first exam at NIE wasn't that smooth actually! In fact, it's the first time I break my own record of being LATE for 20 min! YES, LATE FOR MY EXAM!!! I also can't believe it. I am usually early but due to my carelessness (not double-checking the time), I ended up being late for my last paper, which is a MATHS paper! shitty rite, maths paper takes the longer to complete and I think I left a total of 20 marks questions not answered! Blame myself and I learnt my mistake! Haiz!

But nonetheless, I have gotten over it and so looking forward to my birthday party tmr! It's a family party and how i wish you guys are not having your exam so you can join in the fun!

My Kate Spade Bag

Well, it wasn't a surprise which I wish but nonetheless, it's the second prezzie I have gotten so far for my 21st birthday (first prezzie was given by my mum and that's my braces!). Ok, the story goes like this. My sis msged me and asked if it's alright to give me a belated present because she is thinking of buying it from her honeymoon trip (USA). So I told her it's alright. But I guess my sis is a little too impatient! haha... a few days later, she mms me a pic of my bag and said,"here's your birthday present from ur bro and I." The first though that came to my mind is,"My poor stingy bro, he must have been dragged into this unwillingly!"

I shall share with you why I love the bag. First, it's in hot pink, a colour which I don't initially like but I guess that's why it makes the bag exculsive and unique. But when carried, the bag is easy to match with jeans!

I love how new it looks. It's in canvas material and the label is so newwwwwwwwww

The bag is light but yet quite wide so I use it as my school bag. Of course, can't carry things that are too heavy

The inner lining is so nice...... and I must really take care of it. So I shall announce that this kate spade bag is my first official designer bag and I hope that in the coming years, I will accumulate more and challenge my sis for the title of having the most designer bags.... haahhahhhahahaha

Weekly update

Week 8 has just passed! Oh and here I am going to welcome Week 9. You must be thinking what's with all the numbering of the week. This is just how we count down to the hectic presenation week which will be in Week 11 and 12! I took MC on Wednesday due to my swollen left eye. It was so huge and painful that I could not blink. Worst of all, I have to force myself to attend school though I know I badly needed sleep. But what alternative I can choose when I have so many meetings and lectures to attend. Luckily, I managed to squeeze out all the pus in my left inner eyelid on Friday! I must say I am pretty aggressive. When I get so irritated by some stuff and I simply could not stand it, I would go all to great length to do something about it. With a forceful squeeze, I felt a great sense of achievement to see all the yellowish pus oozing out! Simply shiok!

Now, my eye is less swollen and I can start wearing my conatct lenses. Woohoo! I went to Orchard with sis, melvin and mum today. Finally saw some hair accessories and eyestuds which I have been searching for some time. Mum and sis went on shoe craze and they bought 4 pairs of covered shoes. I feel so sad, it's the start of a new month yet I don't really dare to spend. This is because I did not save up any last month. But I'll make sure I start saving this month.

FAME

Recently i went to watch FAME with Joan and Desmond and I am deeply fascinated by the soundtrack. It's so good. The songs are meaningful and it really introduces new voices to the public to look out for. One particular guy is Asher Book. His voice is so boyish and pleasant to the ears! My favourite tracks will definitely be Ordinary People and Big Things. Play and listen!

Will show u some pics taken from a recent trip down to ZOO! I have been planning this zoo trip for so many times. des even went to the resort of asking his aunt whose working at the Singapore Tourism Board for the zoo pass twice. But each time when the date was approaching, either one of us ended up sick or i am too busy with my school work to care about it.

Just when we finally enjoyed ourselves at the zoo, guess what, i had a bad stomachache and we need to shorten the trip! damn! nevertheless, took some pics...

Des is a LOUSY photographer! i asked him to take a pic of me with the lush greenery as background and guess what? he took a full length pic of me which can't really see my face! angry! lol

In the end, he knew it and asked me to stand next to the board so he can make amends but it was so glaringly hot!

this is so hilarious! i asked des to pose with the real pigmy hippo but he said that the hippo was too far away from the glass. then i suggested taking with the fake ones instead and i asked for a pose. this is what he gave me! a bit kinky huh.... hahaha..he seems to be enjoying.... lol

have i told u how much i love about animal prints? if no, let me share with you how my love of animal prints started...

When i was in secondary school, i always failed or merely just passed my art test! it was a torture for me to draw because my drawing of a female face turned out looking like an ah gua. Worst of all, the curriculum surrounded the topic of shading and alot of abstract work. But i can never understand them.

Although i did very well for the rest of the academic subjects, arts is one subject which affected my overall grade. humphss.. In a fit of anger, i decided to do something about it. During my final year exam, we were given a theme, "Wonderland". We were required to imcorporate alot of abstract stuff into one single painting.

You know how artistic people can be cheem at times. Basically they want you to think of a place which is so special and fascinating that you want to stay there. Unlike my friends who can create new designs, I have no choice but to google on designs to copy. Guess what, animals have so amny designs or patterns on them! So, i drew a outerspace with 5 planets. Each planet has a different animal print on it! Smart rite! In the end, all i have to do is just copy the prints! my result went from the usual 54 to 89! huge difference rite! from then on, i become crazy about animal preeeennnnnnsss
