Last Saturday, I got the opportunity to watch the Lion King musical @ MBS with Des. Can I just tell you how freaking awesome the musical is! The performers can sing really well! Oh and that high-pitched voice of the baboon character really jolted me out of my sleepy self and paid full attention throughout the musical. It was so spectacular that I still think it is pretty worth the price we paid for the tickets!
Furthermore, the whole storyline follows exactly to the cartoon that we watched when we were young. You would have no problem understanding the story! The perfomance put up by all performers (including the younger ones) was simply splendid!
If you have not watched, what are you waiting for!
So, the day started with Des coming to pick me up after my appointment. Although the musical was at 8pm, we decided to explore MBS since it was our virgin trip. Oh man, it is huge and all that walking with no benches or chairs within the shopping area is definitely a smart move because it forces encourages shoppers to patronise the many TWG atas cafes for tea.
Ok, enough of me talking, time to share the pics taken...
the skating rink next to the food court
the expensive pasta that des had
the little canal
atas shopping
beautiful sky and architecture
some wishing well where tourists were trying to throw the coins into the hole in the centre of the fountain
gorgeous?

Then, we were so tired from all those walking and decided to have a drink at TCC.

des and his tea
this tiramisu was FOC. As they were understaffed, we waited pretty long for our table and drinks to be served. Seeing how patient we were, the waiter who served us came with a tiramisu and told us it was on the house. So sweet right? Great customer service.
collected our lion king tickets
Then we saw people gathering outside MBS and so we followed. There we saw the Marina floating platform opposite us and people were watching the NDP rehearsal live!

skipping dinner, we went for the show...

I had a really great time and look forward to more such opportunities to watch musicals.

hi there! just wondering, the TCC was inside MBS was it? And were the prices like the ones outside or jacked up also? And do they serve food or just drinks? Sorry for the bombardment of questions cuz I haven't been there but am trying to plan a surprise visit there for someone's bday next next week! :s Thank you!
